About

I’m Annie Clements, touring bassist and vocalist. If you’re reading this I’m guessing you saw me on stage with an artist whose show you hopefully enjoyed (such as Maren Morris or Sugarland) and maybe thought to yourself “What’s with that girl up there playing bass? Let’s have a poke around the internet and find out.” Or maybe you’re my mom. Who visits my website regularly. Hi mom.

Regardless of how you found me, THANK YOU for taking the time and I’m glad you’re here. I hope you will find this website to be a useful and deeper in-depth look at my body of work with some truly wonderful artists and a listing of the tour dates up ahead – the story of where I’ve been and where I’m going.

Background

Born and raised in New Orleans, the product of a blues guitarist father (Cranston Clements) and an attorney mother, I find myself walking a line of practical whimsy in life. My style is heavily influenced by the music of New Orleans and the music of my parents – aka The Beatles. I’m a huge McCartney bass line nut and I love singing harmony more than just about anything else on planet earth.

For me, it’s all about feeling and soul and living in a moment that will never happen again. I know how challenging it is these days to drag your ass to a live show and every one I get to play is a miracle for me. So thank you for supporting live music and giving me the opportunity to live my dream!

Women Supporting Women

Side Piece is my all-female side project made up of women who back up some of the biggest names in the business. It began with an under-the-radar residency in a downtown Nashville honky tonk on the famed Broadway strip, which quickly became a gathering place all about getting women on stage in a comfortable environment and giving aspiring female musicians the chance to perform just like my dad did for me. Email us at contact@sidepiece.com for booking!

Session Work & Professional Coaching

I’m available for sessions (in town and remote) so drop me a line if you’d like to have me on your next project! I’m also available for private coaching (via Skype or in person) to help you assess your career, goals, social media, skills to improve and new ones to cultivate. I really enjoy this type of work and have a background in Artist Positioning with Sorted Noise, however it’s not something I really advertise so if you’ve dug this deep you’re exactly the type of person I’d like to work with. 😉

Thank you for reading, thank you for listening, and thank you for supporting music and the people who make it. It is my absolute dream come true and distinct honor to play and sing every single note. Thanks for being a part of that dream and a part of my story. For realsies.

All the best,

Annie
